Neighbor Dave passed the fleece on to me with the experienced advice that it was the greatest thing ever.
I agree. The fleece wrap or sash or boy-bag or whatever it is; is Awesome. Now I can make coffee, brush my teeth, do some work...
What isn't awesome is G waking up for a 4 a.m. feeding then not wanting to sleep till 6. The same time I need to get out of bed and try to get something accomplished for the day. That last 90-120 minutes are the nectar of quality sleep that I am robbed of.
I hope Karl is reading this. His time is about up. I've changed more dirty diapers in the last few days that haven't even been on Gav long enough to stick the tabs together than ones that have been on him for more than 30-seconds. It's like putting white bar tape on with greasy hands then being upset that it's smudged when the job is done.
The good news is that Gavin has pissed in his own face more than mine. Justice is sweet revenge.

Spoken like a dad! Welcome to the fraternity! Forget about sleep for, like forever. The crap just changes color over time. Nice bag though.
It sounds like you and Gav are getting some good father son quality time together. Making coffee, brushing teeth, staying up in the early morning and changing diapers.
Seems like you guys are packed full of exciting things together, and just can't get enough.
:)
oh and if some dad with older kids hasn't told you yet:
You got it EASY right now.
Trust me on that... it might not seem easy, but it gets much much much worse (but not surprisingly you acclimate so it isn't as big of a shock the first time)
babies are awesome
Yeah, crying either means a need to eat or a changed diaper. THe tough part is the logistics of mom still in the hospital. Gnewmie is a piece of cake. We fall asleep with my arm hung over the edge of the bassinet and a finger in his mouth. Not a bad way to get a nap.
We used the New Native sling for Frost. The baby bjorn and the like SUCK! All they do is give you back trouble. I'd put Frost to sleep in the sling -- I got to be a pro at sliding it off without him waking up.
Don't be afraid to invite Gnewmo into bed with you. Set up a pillow boundary on the "open" side. It's pretty convenient to be comfortable when getting the baby back to sleep. Remember, co-sleeping was the way of the world for thousands of years ...
Pinky in the mouth ... takes me back.
