Spooge-Ball Tournament of Champions / Athlete Profile #1

It's been a pretty exciting spring and summer thus far with Ivan Basso's personal redemption in the Giro di Italia, World Cup Soccer and a crash filled Tour de France still to conclude. Behind the scenes of all this mad-cap athleticism, offical invites have been issued for the 2nd annual Spooge-Ball Tournament of Champions. Read the recap of last year's event here.

As with all PRO sports, the elite are an honored few among an army of contenders. Amateur leagues have ringers every few years and a constantly changing line-up of future champions and pretenders. In the PRO's, the Kings and Queens of the sport know each other as well as themselves. My next few posts give you, the average fan of ball swingers a chance to meet the elite...the gifted at tossing balls.

Randy the Bo-finger

Originally from the Emerald City, Randy came to Portland for true love. And to see REO Speedwagon. He's a consistently top ball tosser and general good time guy. No longer a roofer, he can blow the lid off any party. Rumor has it Randy once won a game of Spooge-Ball in a triple over-time sudden death match on top of the Space Needle on a diet of only Olympia Beer and Oberto beef jerky.
